David Allen began his newspaper career in 1987 at the Santa Rosa (Calif.) News Herald. After stints at the Rohnert Park-Cotati Clarion, Petaluma Argus-Courier and Victorville Daily Press, in 1997 he joined the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, where he is a columnist and blogger. A native of Illinois, he lives in Claremont, which is Pomona-adjacent.
